Wedding Tip Wednesday - Hire a House Cleaner
You have spent hours and hours planning your wedding, do yourself a solid, and don’t add the worry of having to clean your house before the wedding day.
Congratulations! You're engaged! You've probably signed up on a wedding website, put together a planning binder, and googled "where to start wedding planning". That is a WHOLE lot of planning! Well, we are here with some advice and tips for your wedding day, to help with this new, exciting, and at times, the overwhelming chapter of your life.

When planning your wedding, you have probably weighed the options of you or your partner getting ready at your home or hotel room. If you are getting ready at your house, splurge and hire a house cleaner the week before your wedding. I don’t think you will regret it.
Hair and makeup artists, photographers and videographers, and your wedding party are going to be in your space. Photographers are there taking photos while you are getting ready in your space, and you don't want to worry about cleaning the week before your wedding, or days before your wedding, or the morning of your wedding. Maybe your mom, mother in law or friends are super helpful, but don't stress about it, and don't let other people stress about it, and just hire a reputable company.
If you are getting ready at your home, consider having the cleaning company come in twice before the wedding day. Maybe they do a big clean a few weeks before the wedding day, and a smaller clean a day or two before. This way, all you have to worry about is putting a few things away the night before the wedding and you are not cleaning mirrors, bathrooms, and floors.
You may also consider getting a hotel room. There are some great hotels in Lethbridge, and you can always ask for a tour of the suites or larger rooms available. A suite or adjoining rooms are great options so you can have a bedroom/mess area.
A bonus for your photographer & makeup artist -> Look for great light.
Not going to lie, we have shown up to houses on wedding days where homes are a little chaotic.
Chat with your wedding party about expectations too, and don't let your wedding party create a mess, and create a designated area for their things. I know it is hard because they're coming in with garment bags and cosmetic bags and razors and shoes and backpacks and liquor. Try to keep things contained and tidy and stress-free.
The last thing any photographer or videographer, or couple has time for, is moving things to tidy up on the wedding day.
Keep it clean folks, or don’t be upset if there is mess in the background.
