Sarah & Brandon | Writing On Stone Engagement Session

If you are getting married in Lethbridge, why keep your engagement photos in Lethbridge?

I am ALWAYS up for an adventure and a road trip. I encourage my couples to consider taking a drive to a different location for their engagement photos. Unlike your wedding day, we are not on a time limit, we have nowhere to be by a certain time and we have the freedom to take our time, explore, and have fun. We can go to a location that is a completely different look than where you are getting married. You might spend more time with me on your wedding day than you do with your partner, so I encourage my couples to do engagement sessions so they can get comfortable with me and together in front of the camera.

Sarah and Brandon were up for a little summer adventure to Writing on Stone Provincial Park with me. It was hot, we passed the “Watch for Snakes” sign and created magic.

I am so excited for their September wedding this year!

Some things to think about when planning your engagement session:

  1. Plan more than one look/outfit

  2. Bring something more dressy, and one or two options that are casual. Wearing a jean jacket or leather jacket, hat, or other accessories are easy ways to change your look

  3. Planning for Golden Hour is best. That is the hour before the sun sets. — We couldn’t do that for this session because of time constraints, but who doesn’t want incredible sunset photos??

  4. Get your hair and makeup done. This is a great opportunity to get a trial of your makeup at the very least!

  5. Coordinate but don’t match your outfits!
